Thread: four rims and tires stolen off my car and the alarm never went off

I posted last night About having problem with my alarm going off by itself about every 15 minutes over an hour during the early evening. I went to bed around 1130 my car alarm was set got up at 530. My car in my driveway a 2009 venza was up on cinder blocks . ALL 4 20 inch alloy rims and tires removed. The car alarm did not go off .It was set. You would think the car alarm would go off if 4 tires were removed from it. something very wrong with the system. the price is around 4 to 5000 dollars damage my car has 12,000 miles on it. not happy with toyota alarm system at all

The alarm is made for intrusion. Quietly and slowly lifting the vehicle will not necearliy set of the typical alarm. Did you car nort have wheel locks?

Noentheless, that really sucks to come out and find you've b een ripped off....

it sucks but stock wheels tires don`t cost $5000. I bet you can find a good used set for much less, in fact I will sell you my 500 miles set off my 2011 for 2000 delivered.like new, 500 miles on the set, bought carnew 2 weeks ago.
