Default Rear bumper protector, black (Thompson Toyota)

We're Thompson Toyota - a dealership in Eastern PA (near Philly). We run this site and hope to help you all out technically and with parts if you need them.

The first special is the Rear bumper protector made by Toyota for the Venza. Protect your rear bumper from scratches, etc.. when loading or unloading things...

    Retail: $70.00
Our price: $55.00 + $8.00 shipping (no tax if outside Pennsylvania).

It's not a HUGE savings, but Toyota doesn't put much markup on the accessories.

    If interested call 800-590-0304

I was curious about this item. Is it something I can easily install myself or will I need to get the dealer to do it? Is it just adhesive-backed?

Yes, it's just a 'peel and stick' item. If you have no scratches yet it will stick great - if yours is already scratched up (I hope its not ALREADY!!) it's a little tougher to get to stick...

    Default Venza Accessories

Hello Rob: I recently purchased my 09 Venza from your dealership.

I sent your parts dept an email rel; mud flaps and they refered me to the trdparts4u.com. After reviewing their web site I made a purchase of the following parts:
    Roof Rack,mudguards front & Rear
    Rear bumper protector
    Roof Rack
    All weather floor mats (4)
    All weather Cargo mat
I think I got a good price on these items $549.88+shipping.
I was wondering what a towing package would cost from your dealership.

    Pretty good price!

In our region, Toyota doesn't offer the mudguards but we could have given you a great deal on the other items

Toyota still doesn't show a part number on the tow hitch for our region - I'll call over to Toyota today and find out what's going on with that.

    Default Other options for Hitches

I wanted the hitch too... not for a trailer...but for a bike rack. I ended up getting the hidden hitch model for the venza. It was realtively inexpensive...

I chose to do the install myself.... it's 6 bolts... plus add a couple of spacers if you have the AWD model (The sway bar brackets need to get spaced out). It was relatively easy to install...though getting the rubber mounts off for the exaust system... that took a while....

Once installed, the hitch looks really clean... does not stick out (saving your shins).... and all of the welded brackets are tucked up above the bumber giving a realy clean apearence.

Do you have pics and more details about the part #/where to buy or order the hitch?

    Thanks.

I will take some pics tonight... but it is the same hitch that user dlm1942 installed (the Hidden hitch and Drawtite are esentially the same thing with different stickers on them)

You can find more info here:

    http://www.hiddenhitch.com/fitguides...0&partno=87521

When i ordered it I phoned around in Calgary.... prices varied wildly from $250-400 (Cdn) for the same things.... install would normallybe about $50 (without wiring harness)....

The only thing that I would complain about is that due to the size of most these hitches... they are shipped unboxxed.... I had a whack of scratches on mine. I ended up giving it a quick sand and spary with a rust paint.
