Venza Interior Rust?

Just got off the phone with Toyota Canada about the interior rusting problem in my wifes 2010 Venza. Apparantly Toyota warranty division will not cover interior rusting in their cars because it is only surface rust and not perforation even though they admit that the rear seat components and all the framing is bare metal are is most likely being caused by using the A/C. WTF? That's just lame. Further more the spare tire rim is also rusting around the edges and it's never been out of the car. This may not seem to be a serious problem to some but the cars a 2010 not a 1971 Corolla and where ever this moisture is coming from what else will it eventually affect (electronics? when the warranty runs out?) This isn't my only complaint with the Venza, they are a number of others that aren't known unfortunately until after ownership. Heading to the Hyundai and Kia dealer on the weekend. Should have stuck with the Hyundai Tucson in the first place. More comparable to to a Rav 4 but then it is just the wifes to and from work car. I am so disappointed with Toyota quality and service that I will make it my ambition to visit and post on every Toyota and competitor site I can possibly find, and I have all the time in the world to do it since I'm retired and have nothing better to do this winter.
