    Default Toyota of Vero Beach-LIED

I bought my Venza from, Toyota of Vero Beach, I will never go back again. I refuse to even use the free oil change and detailing coupons they gave me. We went in with a specific car that I knew we could negotiate down to my price range. I test drove it then was told they didn't have the exact one I was looking for or one similar( I basically was sticking to a base model with a certain package to stay in my price range.) They did actually have plenty but they all had "dealer options," like paint protector, front bug deflector, etc... I tried to get them to negotiate on one of those based on the REAL Sticker not the one with their add ons, I even told them they could remove those items but they refused. I got in my car to leave when they ran up and said they'd sell me one so after looking at it we negotiated a price I felt comfortable with, they took forever, longer than normal to finally get me through the financing, which by the way was a huge joke with this guy giving me disapproving looks when i scoffed at his ridiculous interest rates and requirements like you MUST by this extended warranty or maintenance plan. I advised him I could just go to the bank so he told me to, of course when I left his office they finally called me in and stopped the games. I THOUGHT. They all tried really hard to keep talking and tell me they had one guy cleaning cars this was bout 7pm we got there(went with my dad around noon.) early. I got suspicious cause they sent us out to eat on them so I drove by all the bays and saw the car NOWHERE. I then used my trusty iPhone to get online and look up the exact VIN # on the paper work and it was for a car in ANOTHER CITY. NOT the car that was there, I was of course irritated but didn't say anything right then. I went back and they admitted their "mistake," right then but said they had someone hurrying up to bring it to which I said they BETTER NOT be driving over 60mph since it was new. They acted like they called to tell them but the rate of speed at which the driver pulled in dispelled that lie. The ONLY benefit I received was that the car had a couple extra things more than I expected, like a bumper protector rear cargo mat, net, Smart Key, they acted like they did me a favor, but I blew their comments off(of course I was happier.) I just found their persistent lies tiresome since I finally left around 9pm, I could have and would have driven to the other dealership, I filed a complaint with Toyota Customer service as well where I learned that several options were never on that car and added on the day I got it like the leather seats, bumper protector, cargo net, rear mat, I felt pretty lied to, and made that clear in my reviews of their dealership and to the customer service rep. I got a call from the manager who harassed my Dad since I wasn't there, he gave him my number and I just told the guy he lied so I would not rescind my complaint, he kept going on about how I would be taking away their bonuses from Toyota and all their awards and just kept talking I let him know that was great news and hung up. The dealership lied over and over again and worse yet I had an immediate brake issue when I left but dealt with it till I found a different dealer.

Sorry to hear about your experience. You do know that you can use the 2 year ToyotaCare maintenance plan at any Toyota dealer.

Sorry, but I have to comment. First off, how old are you? Have you ever bought a new car before? Finance trying to sell you items and coverages and starting with higher interest rates is completely normal.... 2-4 hours for a new car process is normal..... a dealer does NOT remove items they have added on if they are already in place..... "trading" for another vehicle from another dealership with the options you are "demanding" is completely normal (they should have told you it was being moved over to your dealership)... prep/detailing is usually 2 guys during the day, much less at 8PM....... the vehicle is in NO WAY restricted to 60 MPH because it is new...... the 2 yr oil/maintenance plan is good in all 48 US States no matter where you purchase from....
They seem to have been a little shady, but they bought you a meal while you waited for the car you optioned to be delivered, and then you sent a complaint to corporate?! I suspect you will be on here a lot complaining about every little thing because you seem impossible to please.
