Have to agree, insane. I am paying $30,000 for the same thing.

Got my Gray Venza 2011 Model on Saturday.

$27106.08(out of door price)+$1575.87 for 8 Yrs/75000 mi Toyota Extra Care Service.
    Total is $28681.95.

The MSRP is $28514 including a convenience package. The dealer gave me $26105 as the selling price, plus $250 document fees and $1000 rebate for Venza after tax. The odometer reads 137 miles. I thought that it might be too high. The dealer said it is common.

    Default 2011 V6 FWD - 13% off MSRP

    Greetings:

I purchased my 2011 FWD V6 on 21 October and got an estimated 13% off ($4,954) MSRP ($37,954.00). I think this is a pretty good price for the car. This price did not even take into account the 1K cash back (I didn't get that as I wanted the zero financing for the 12K balance I owed). It has Premium Pkg. #2, Nav/JBL, Pano roof and carpeted floor mats. It has essentially all options but the tow pkg and AWD which I didn't want. I purchased the mud/splash guards online and ordered the MacNeil floor liners to protect the carpets. All in all, I'm pleased with the car and the mileage so far is very near the 26mpg highway in mostly highway driving with just a bit over 1K miles in 5 weeks. The dealership didn't want to give me what my 2007 Highlander Hybrid was worth so I sold it to Carmax and got an extra 5K for it! The sales mgr at the dealership was floored by what I got but he wanted to sell me his car and the price was extremely good based on my research so I did the deal and am pleased.

Default Your V6 is a real big deal and better than miine. Congrats!!!

In my case, what I got in the local area is the lowest price because the dealer said that if I were to find a new lower price than theirs, they would award me $3000 for that finding. Acutally I could not get this reward. Mine mpg level is about 25 in the city driving and 26.5 on the freeway. Venza is a good wagon which earns a lot of attention when overpassing others like Mazda C7 , Ford Edge , and VW Tiguan. I am satisfied with my choice and will use this car as long as I can.

Congrats on the car and a very good deal....no trade deals should net a 13% discounted price

California dealer, MSRP was $33, 709. Paid $ 29.5K (with the 1k rebate) + Taxes. Metallic Grey FWD V6 with Leather Seats/wood trim, bluetooth music streaming, 13 speakers, pano roof but NO Navigation. Includes an additional mod. - Backup camera with he display in the inside rear-view mirror (they returned me the original autodimming one). They told me it usually costs $800 to get this installed from them, if done separately. Got the car with 2 miles on the odometer..

I used truecar.com and negotiated the price with my local dealer to match up with the lowest price I got from the Truecar.com site - that dealer was like 75 miles away.

More importanly, if you decided to sell your venza within 5 years it'd end up costing you less. Unless of course you are not planning on selling it within 5 years then any saving you'd get may not be worth an effort. I sold my venza and I'm glad I took the cash back.
I have no intention of taking 5 years to pay off the 12K - more than likely I will pay it off in LT 3 years. If I do decide to sell or replace the Venza it will have a clear (paid off) title when that time comes. At zero percent for the modest balance I owe, it's not costing me anything but the monthly amount I pay which doesn't impact my budget much. Of course I could have waited for the 2012's but considering how things worked out price wise, I'm happy with the deal and car.
