what don't you like about your venza

i've seen plenty of likes people share. my wife and i are close to getting a 2011 venza v6 fully loaded w/o the AWD. we test drove one last night and was very impressed by it.

things i didn't like:
- no memory seats. i guess i'm spoiled with my acura tl. but with more than 1 driver, i think it's a great feature. they told me that this isn't available until we go to the sequoia or lexus. for the mid 30K price, i think it should

- no black interior. not a big deal. we're deciding on the silver interior but prefer black

- headrest doesn't tilt forward. no surprise since i've only seen this in benz, lexus, etc.

it's a short list from the 20 minute test drive. so i'd like to know from owners, what they don't like about their venzas. also, we got the price down to $34,900 (not including tax and other fees). does this sound about right in california?

no full sized spare (or at least the tire well to accomodatea full-sized tire, poor paint resiliance to minor road debris (pitting from sand and small particles), poor rear deck lighting, poor design/constrction/fitment of interior plastic panels, limited intrior color selelction (no dark grey option) - only light colors, no tranny dip stick for heads-up observation of changes in color/level - toyota recommends life-time ATF use (???), no factory option for higher aspect ratio tires for better ride, no built-in turn signal in side mirrors.
Over all - great vehicle..... for the most part - that's the wish list.

What I dislike about my venza are:

- the panoramic glass roof looks wide and big outside but the view from inside out is not as big... the inside liner has blocked out most of the view
- it will be nice to have a power sliding sun shade as it is literally impossible to close up the shade without a passenger sitting at the back
- the ride is a bit too soft... it will be nice to have a little stiffer suspension to give it a little more sporty cornering to make it not just look sporty but drive sporty
- It is a little disappoint to see there isn't any hydraulic arm to open up the hood
- It will be nice as well to have rain sensor for the wiper

That is all but I still like the ride and look and the overall features in my venza!

First off I have to say I love the looks, and the drivers cockpit and the rear seats. What I don't like is the incessant rattle or squeaks from the glove box. It has been to the dealer once for this and I will bring it back again. My Girlfriend does not like the ride, we had a 2001 Highlander and even though she complained about the ride from time to time she felt it was smoother. The one other thing I do not like about the Venza is the rear blind spots, they are huge!

Overall its a Great looking vehicle, I am a long time Toyota owner and I have to say I am a disappointed that Toyota Quality is starting to feel like it was made in China.

Hi

First of all the interior has too much plastic and the steering feels cheap. Power is fine and fit and finish is also fine.

The bluetooth only works with certain phones so try yours out first. Make sure you get Michelin tires and not Bridgestone or Goodyear, Major difference in everything.

Cruise control !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had Toyota put on side strips to protect from dings.

Their white which is a $250 plus is their best paint hands down.

I great car to lease but l wouldn't want to own one after 3 yrs.

I forgot to mention that l do not have cruise control. Didn't even think that it wouldn't be included being that it's a cheap add on.

Why they don't offer a black interior amazes me!!!!!!!!!

Sorry l finally found the the cruise control it was hidden on the steering stalk.

Let me start buy saying I mostly luv the Venza but there are some nits that are ridiculous on this expensive of a vehicle............

*The vents......what a POS design! They are the hardest thing I've ever seen to get adjusted to your liking. How hard can this be to do right? I have a $22K Hyundai that has a far superior design.
*The center console..........another POS design. Noisy..........and made overly complicated. Did I mention it was noisy? I sprayed the guides and moving parts with silicone spray and that helped a lot.
* None of the electrical wiring harnesses are covered, creating the potential for a ton of squeaks and noises. I corrected a nasty one behind the glove compartment that was caused by not covering the harnesses. Again, my $22K Hyundai has ALL harnesses covered with soft material to eliminate this potential issue. Sloppy IMHO.
*Fit/finish needs improvement.

I still like Toyota vehicles but starting to look at other manufacturers.........case in point. Just purchased a 2011 Hyundai Tucson (Feb 2011) over the Toyota RAV4 due to price, design, and overall quality.
Haven't found a single thing I don't like with this vehicle!

Toyota is slipping............

step on the brake at night and the entire back of the cargo area lights up from the light of the high mounted stop light.

I knew buying mine as a first year car I was in for some things that where not perfect, anyone know if in the 2010/11 models have changed, my biggest issue was the overall lack of finish and I can tell you its no better in my new 2011 Tundra however the new FJ Cruiser seems to be very well put together.

I recall with my 4Runner that they did make some changes to things people complained most about mainly cup holder placement and things of that nature.
