Why they don't offer a black interior amazes me!!!!!!!!!
    Kingman,

Cruise Contol is standard equipment on all Venza models, has been since 2009.

I've had my 4-cyl 2010 for about 6 months now and accumulated about 10k miles, these are the things that bug me. Overall it's a damn good machine - But:
    1. Fit & finish of the dash is terrible gaps, misaligned edges the soft plastic bows & flexes with temperature changes.
    2. Center council absolutely useless, still haven't figured out exactly what fits in the alleged ipod holder - nothing seems too. Really can't use both cup holders at the same time if you have anything bigger than a can.
    3. Single disc cd player - I know there is a 6 disc unit available but couldn't find one on a lot within 200 miles, and the price they want to swap it out is outrageous. I had a 6 disk standard in my Tundra why not in a $32,000 Venza?
    4. I really dislike the feel of the electric power steering, as well as the brakes. The steering has no road feel at all and the brakes, while they seem powerful, sure don't feel it when you first push down, feels like there's nothing there.
    5. The thing wanders on the highway, dealer says its the power steering, but it becomes a real pain the the butt on a long trip.
    6. Where the hell is the hydraulic hood prop - on a vehicle that costs this much the prop rod is just plain cheap!
    7. Excellent fuel mileage - as long as you don't turn the air conditioner on. Average 28-32 in daily commute with a/c off, turn it on and the mileage drops down to 20-23 at best sometimes below 20.
    8. Finally the seats are horrendous. Bottom cushion is too short, have a butt and back ache within 100 miles, can't seem to find a position that works and maintain a reasonable relationship to the steering wheel.
    9. 19 inch wheels - what is with this anyway. I don't see the benefit over say 16" and the cost to replace a set of tires on this thing is about $1200 in this area.
That's about it for my gripes - the Venza has been a very good machine so far. It's smooth, quiet and reasonably economical. But honestly for the money my 2009 Tundra was better screwed together, quieter, and more comfortable on the road. I'd have kept it but the gas mileage was eating my lunch.

Default Glove Box rattle sounds anyone have a fix?

Anyone having issues with the rattle coming from the glove box area? I think it is the piece of plastic that is below the glove box, when I touch it it moves freely so it possibly could vibrate while driving. Anyone notice this or have a way to tighten or remove this cover? Or at least pad it to stop this noise which can be very distracting!

I had a 2001 Highlander and I am starting to miss it, it was quieter and better put together and the ride was smoother on certain sections of the highway where my Venza rattles.

I still like Toyota but if this keeps up this Venza will be traded in way before the 8 to 10 years I normally keep a vehicle. I hope Toyota is reading these posts. I and my family have been a solid Toyota owners since 1975 and our eyes is starting to wander. That is not a good sign for Toyota.

My biggest gripe so far is the Rubbermaid dashboard plastic. The dull faux wood grain also looks terrible. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of wood grain interiors, but the dull finish makes it look cheap. It makes my '98 Eclipse interior plastic look higher quality.

Hi i feel the same about road wander and brakes, our steering wheel is also off center and gets more pronounced in the right lane.
Dealer blames the electric steering......... AJ

well ours seems to wander according to road bank, I always seem to be correcting steering, annoying on long trips, and then thee is the off center wheel.
Don't think i'll be keeping this long if they can't correct it........ AJ

Try ask another dealer to do an alignment. Maybe even a tire rotation might help.

On my Odyssey it has always seemed to pull to right and have to hold the wheel to the left slightly to keep it going straight. I noticed after doing a tire rotation is was slightly less pronounced. Several thousand miles later I replaced the tires and had an alignment done at the same time. It's not quite perfect, but very slight now. Good luck.
