Thread: Question

I noticed alot of the guys mention they got the Venza for the wifey or it was her decision etc.. Did anyone buy the Venza for himself?

I did. I was coming out of a jeep grand cherokee, and wanted the storage and space of an suv, but with a better quality ride. I stopped in at the dealership to look at the Ford Edge, saw the Venza, and kept comparing all of the other cars I looked at to it. Both of my kids are into sports, and I needed the cargo area to carry all of the equipment they use plus my golf clubs.

For the wife. Nice car but I'll stick to my F350 diesel.

Me, myself and I made the decision to buy this car..... (if you meet my wife don't tell her I said that!!) But honestly, I would have preferred to have bought a Ford Flex, but logic dictated Venza. Time will tell if this was the way to go.

I did. Wanted a change from my Honda Ridgeline, which I really liked. Happy with it so far, although I'd make a few design changes.

ok cool it kinda feels like I'm the only guy out here that owns a Venza. Just wanted to make sure I'm not the only one here ha

I like the hatchback look (used to own a Metro and a Golf), but now I have three young kids so the Venza made sense

Yep, bought it for myself (and wife) because of the look and perceived Toyota quality. Traded in a Honda Pilot that was still in perfect condition but just too big for two people.

Ditto, I bought mine for myself also. Left a gas guzzling 1999 Suburban to go newer and more fuel efficient. I miss the 140+ cubic feet of haulabilty in the Suburban, but I don't miss the 9 MPG!

It was a mutual decision for our Venza. We traded in a '05 Passat 4Motion wagon. It was a roomy car but sat too low for us old farts. So far we are very happy with the choice. The widow sticker put us off but local dealer gave us full tradein and discounted dealer cost. Car is 6 weeks and 2800 miles old. Life is good.
