    Default Tinted Front Sides

The "before" was taken on my BlackBerry and the "after" with my good camera, but here's the difference after the front sides get the tint...

Thanks. Ya the red's amazing when the sun hits it. I'm in Canada and I've seen darker tint that the authorities seem to let go so I'm definitely safe. In fact, the guy that tinted it told me he's had police officers get their personal vehicles tinted darker than mine.

I honestly don't know what the legal limit is here. These ones are just a tick lighter than the factory tint on the rears but it's hardly noticeable.

    Default Front Tint

I also had the front 2 windows (+ the small triangle ones) tinted. I have the magnatic grey and the tint I chose 20% and in the normal daylight you cant tell the difference from the factory rear ones. I love it and you can see it on my album (the last pic with the rims)

    Default Tinted on Black Venza

I got my car front windows tinted last week on my black venza....Freak'n looks great with the color black. I'll post a pix when I get the chance. It's technically illegal in California...I guess I'll take my chances..So far I have not gotten a ticket (police have got more important issues).

    Hi all,
What % tint is needed to match the rear windows ?
    I think around 20 or 25.
    What does everyone think?
09 Blizzard Peral Venza V6 awd , JBL no NAV. Prem pack. 2 , leather seats , pano. roof. , Reese hitch , and Lovin It.

I asked my friend that owns a tint shop about the % of the privacy glass and he said it's about 20%.
Here in Hawaii the law states that the max on the front two doors is 35%. So I did 35% on the fronts and 80% on the back. My wife didn't want it any darker and my friend said that the privacy glass is just for that, privacy. It doesn't reduce heat. They used Solar Guard Ultra 35% and 80%. It makes a significant difference in heat reduction.
I want to do the windshield with the 80% eventually since it's the largest glass on the car. Gonna do it on my impreza and my bro has it on his car and it makes quite a bit of difference. The 80% is almost clear and supposed to cut the heat by 40%

In Ontario, the Highway traffic act does not specify any % in relation to tint. It is purely an Officer discretion issue. If he feels that the level of tint "obscures the interior visibilty" he can lay a charge. The ticket is rare, and usually reserved for those who are boy racer types or a**holes.
