Default 2013 Venza oil change interval

Does anyone else have issue with the 10,000 mile oil change interval. I took my Venza in for an oil change at 4200 miles and they refused to change the oil under the Toyota care maintenance program. They also told me that syn oil is required. I made a 2 hour trip for the service appt only to find out I was not getting an oil change, but they did rotate my tires! They seem to like to rotate those tires - apparently every 5000 miles. On another note does anyone else have a wind noise problem? I noticed a tb for this back in 2010. Thanks

I won't drive 10,000 miles on any oil & I definitely would have been pissed off after driving that far for an oil change. I just switched my 09 to Mobil 1 5/30 & plan to change it every 5-6k.

I agree with the 5000 mile oil change. I also run Mobil 1 5W30 in my V6 Venza. At 6.5 quarts, using the Royal Purple I use in my 2009 Scion tC gets expensive! Everybody I talk to in the automotive business agrees 10K miles on oils is insane. Toyota, Ford, GM don't really care. After 36,000 miles, you're on you own!
