Good luck getting ANY dealer to change tires to a different kind. The tires are not the automobile manufacturers problem. Be it a Goodyear, Michelin, Toyo, Bridgestone, or any other brand, they usually let the tire manufacturer deal with warranty tire issues. The owner "disliking" the tire is not considered a warranty issue. Personally, I always run winter tires tires on my own cars. Here in Cleveland, Ohio we get some pretty brutal snow! My 2010 V6 AWD Venza is pretty decent with the Blizzak DM-V1 tires I run in the winter months. I won't drive "all season" tires in these winters. My 20" Michelin Latitude HP's come off, the winter tires go on in about another month.
With 2k miles, good luck with the dealership replacing your tires. I have heard some getting them replaced as part of the final deal on the lot, but not after the fact. I tried getting the Michelins swapped for the crappy, noisey Goodyears, to no avail. Even called Toyota Hotline and got a case number. No luck. I finally bought (out of MY pocket) Yokohama Prada Spec-X and love them.
We have the AWD and find the tires and car very well weighted in snow and ice. Depending where you live and the amount of snow you get, you may get away with no snow tires. But the AWD is the key to this. Good luck.
2010 Sunset Bronze Mica, V6, AWD, Comfort pkg. Convenience pkg. JBL. Body Side molding, Door edge guards, Mud Guards, Full Weathertech floor mats
I also have the Toyo tires on my "AWD" 4-cyl Venza. No trouble going through 18" plus of snow
last winter. You may have to switch over (on your own ) to a winter tire like the Blizzak.
