Thread: Hid ?

Does anyone knows if I need a capacitor or relay to install an Hid kit? The kit that I want doesnt come with either one.

Hey, I just installed mine today.. I ordered it from carid, and it came with the cap which I installed. The cap is just to prevent flickering. The relay is not necessary, but it draws power direct from the battery instead of the circuit. Mine came with the relay, but I chose not to install it... Neither are absolutely necessary.. Relays are necessary, depending on the gauge of the wiring feeding the HIDs. They have a higher initial draw than halogen, but once illuminated usually draw less. (35w)

I'd like to know if venzas optioned with HIDs have the same gauge wiring (going to the headlights) as those with HIDs. Can anyone verify this?
