    Default LED "Audi Style" Headlights

Alright here goes my attempt at the "Audi Style" headlights. So 1st things 1st, getting the LED's. I got them at Auto Zone, and they are 1pr. of 14 inch each "Side Shine" LED's. The carton will say 28 inches... I had to modify them to make them longer so they would be the length of the headlights. Installation of the lights: To install them, all you have to do is remove the adhesive backing of the LED strip and stick it between the bottom of the headlight and the bumper.Fairly easy to do, just don't push it to hard as that will damage the LED's. Next, I got my volt meter and disconnected the park light connector, that's the amber light that's also used as your indicator. I measured the voltage, spliced in the LED wires and reconnected the connector. The wires can be ran anywhere out of moving parts and hot surfaces. Alright.. Here are the pics. IMAG0802.jpg The 1st pic is of the test fit, and this LED strip is 14 inches long. IMAG0811.jpgIMAG0814.jpgIMAG0818.jpg

Any questions, feel free to ask.

    Enjoy..

Very nicely done, I am waiting for my strips to be sent. One question I have is that on my Venza, I see that wiring for the lights are wrapped in a black plastic tube (protecting the wires from exposing). Does your Venza have that? Was it hard to remove that tubing so you can get to the wires?

Hi, thanks for the comment. My venza does have the protective tube, but its really thin, and easy to cut. Where are you getting your lights from? Please post pics of the finished project...thanks..

I bought the white led strips (2X60cm) and waiting for them to be shipped. I want to install it under the headlight casing. I am not sure which to connect to yet, most likely just with the lowbeams since I just want them on at night, I doubt they are that visible during the day. Not to go off topic, but after the lights, it will be plasti dip spraying the grill and rims to give it the matte black look!

Nevermind, I finally figure it out and connected it to the side signal wire. It took me 3 hours!!! I suck at it, haha. I also needed my wife's help to stick the led strip, cause she does a better job at that kind of stuff.

Spraying black plasti dip to the grill. I might not do the wheels as that is way too much work.
