Default shift knob threading size [UPDATE]

    ]Hey peeps,

Does anyone know what the specific threading size is on the shift stick lever or knob?

I'm interested in making my own custom shift knob and would like a way to attach it without it being permanent, like the OEM knob itself. It will be a repurposed flight stick made for the PS2...which only worked on one crummy game anyway.

I'm thinking of going to a hardware store and getting a threaded coupler to attach to the inside of the flight stick, but I don't know the specific size and thread density.

    Thanks everyone!

[UPDATE] I have found the answer!! It is 12mm x 1.25 pitch if anyone's curious.

Is the shift knob supposed to rotate clockwise? It would seem like it should be tighter. Ideas?
