Anyone tried a cargo box on the factory rack?

I'm currently thinking of getting the Venza. I don't care for the moon roof, I have one in my RAV4 and never really used it. I absolutely need a good rack though as I need to put a cargo box all winter for skiing and also for family trips (I have 3 kids, the trunk fills up quickly!).

Looking at the rack from Toyota I am a bit underwhelmed. It doesn't seem too versatile (what's with these flush rails???). More importantly, the positioning seems like it could be problematic if you want to carry a box and be able to open the rear hatch.

So anyone ever put one on the factory rack, can you open the hatch?

I might get some tracks installed on the roof worse case (roof has to be drilled)... Or use the ones that grip onto the door frames, although it doesn't look as good.

hope its not too late yet but, I think I found the right box for the Venza, I just picked up a box from INNO rack ( Shadow 15 BRA-1150 ) and it fits perfect up there, you can open the rear hatch and the antenna was my main concern and this box just barely touching it. Yakima and Thule sits on the antenna. unless you have the aftermarket rack then you can use which ever one you like. Hope that helps
