Default Cold air intake for 3.5 v6

I know K&N has the typhoon short ram air intake for the 3.5 V6. Has anyone found anything else available for the Venza? Perhaps a true cold air intake? I checked AEM and Injen's website, but they don't seem to have anything yet.

    Hi noservice2001,
Do you have a K&N Typhoon on your Venza?
Do you like it? Is it worth the money?
Did you notice any increase in mileage?
    Did you install it yourself?
I am thinking about getting one , but $350 is a lot of dough.
Thanks in advance for your comments.

it's about $250 shipped on eBay (where i got mine), and i honestly think so, if not for bragging rights at least...but they claim hp gain, which seems plausible since the car needs to breath, and since i have dual exhaust, the constrains to my system was the intake, so now the o2 mixes better with the gas theoretically...

i honestly think its kinda overkill since at most red lights, i can already outgun the luxury cars with the v6- if you don't think its overkill, you probably need a super/turbo charger or v8 engine replacement....

don't know, bought the CAI before i bought the car, i'm getting 21.3 mpg right now

nope, called all the authorized dealers in the area, told them its the same engine as V6 Camry, and got price quotes from them all...

first of all, how much did you spend on the car? for me, the additional 250 is like chump change, since its supposedly going to help me save gas.... and since i've already driven from vancouver to mexico twice in that thing, psychologically its already worth it... but k&n provides a dyno sheet so i believe them...

by the way, my last car was a scion xB, and after i put CAI on that thing, i was getting better gas mileage than my dad's camry hybrid...i only gave him a k&n permanent air filter lol

I will say, when i first got the car, vs. the drive away after they installed in intake, there was a noticeable high pitch whirring sound when accelerating... i liked it... now i don't hear it anymore

I went ahead and purchased the K&N Typhoon intake for my V6, and I have to say it is awesome. It fit really well, was easy to install, and makes an agressive sound under full acceleration. It is helping my mileage out a little too. I purchased mine from automotiveconcepts.net for $225 shipped with their 10% off coupon. I would recommend this setup to anyone wanting more power from their Venza. I'll get some pics up as soon as I can.

I agree. I too have the Typhoon intake for our V6 and it not only sounds great but the response is much quicker, throttle response.
I forgot where I got mine but I got it around the same price, low 200s.

Hey thanks much in adavance for posting pics I am considering one a CAI as well even with modest gains the sound you get from one is well worth the price to me.
