    Default Mesh Grille Options

So, I have been searching the Web and it seems the only available mesh grille is the E&G Classic:

It's not bad... but it looks like a Pontiac GT to me.

But, with a little modification, I believe it can become this:

I think it is starting to look pretty good.

Now, I haven't actually done this yet, this is a Photoshopped image, but it could be done for real since the grille is stainless steel, not plastic. I am also thinking of painting the polished frames my body color (Magnetic Gray Metallic) and the mesh painted flat black.

I think the whole deal would cost around $500.

    What do you think?

Another idea I had is leaving the upper grille as is and putting an aluminum mesh in the lower opening, it would look something like this:

    Here is stock:

I like the look of this.

I think, by changing the dark area to the bright polished aluminum, it ties everything together. You can buy the materials to do this yourself, but I am working with a guy now about having one fabricated and then possibly being available for purchase thru his web site.

    Any opinions on this?

Yeah, way to much money, so instead I got the chrome grille inserts, about $150 US, online, with shipping.

    Here are some photos.

They snap on over the existing parts, no tools, takes less than 5 minutes to install them.

Those look good too. I won't be looking to do any mods until spring time so I'm hoping they have something better out by then.
